The mission of La Maison is to offer free services to adults at the end of life so that they can spend their final days peacefully, receiving quality palliative care, supported by a dedicated healthcare team and surrounded by loved ones, in a calm and warm environment.
Our attendants ensure the comfort and safety of patients by providing hygiene and comfort care.

Mission and Responsibilities
The mission of La Maison is to offer free services to adults at the end of life so that they can spend their final days peacefully, receiving quality palliative care, supported by a dedicated healthcare team and surrounded by loved ones, in a calm and warm environment.
Our nurses provide comprehensive nursing care according to patient needs, educate patients and families, and provide the necessary support in end-of-life accompaniment. Nurses also document patient status, care provided, and medications administered.

“It was during my studies that I discovered palliative care. That is when I realized that it is possible to die differently: away from the constant beeping of machines, in a peaceful environment filled with beauty and serenity, surrounded by caregivers who are available, compassionate, and deeply attentive. Having accompanied a loved one through the end of life myself, I wished they could have spent their final days in a place like La Maison de la Sérénité. Our patients and their families are the raison d’être of our mission: to make them feel comfortable despite the difficult times they must endure and feel like members of our big family. If we can make our patients laugh with our jokes, make them dance in the corridor and stop time for a few minutes, listen to them tell us about memorable moments with their loved ones, provide them with moments of pleasure with our famous well-decorated ice creams or with attractive plates lovingly prepared by our cooks, accompany them on their health stroll, or to go out on our two well-appointed terraces to relax while watching the river or listening to the birdsong with our volunteers, to help them attend and applaud the shows organized by La Maison, to give them a moment of joy every Friday with a bouquet prepared by our volunteers, then, mission accomplished!
